Samsung’s Galaxy Watch4 Classic

by Aaron Finch

The newly released Galaxy Watch4 Classic by Samsung’s is one of the first smartwatches to offer up to 2 days of battery life on a single charge. With an IP68 water-resistance rating, this robust smartwatch should not only survive the occasional knock or drop, but it can also withstand being submerged in water for up to 30 minutes at 1.5 meters deep without any issues.

The Galaxy Watch4 also offers excellent companion functionality with smartphones running iOS or Android, allowing you to make calls and reply to messages right from your wrist without needing your phone nearby. Not to mention, the wearable is equipped with a robust heart rate sensor, fall detection technology and Samsung’s S Health app for tracking fitness stats.

Product Feature

Newly released, the Galaxy Watch4 Classic comes in two versions: 42mm for men and 41mm for women. The smartwatch boasts a 1.3-inch circular AMOLED display with a resolution of 360 x 360. Users can conveniently navigate through the device’s menus using the touchscreen or by using the on-screen navigation keys.

For those who prefer not to use these methods, users can always use their voice to interact with the Galaxy Watch4. A 2-megapixel camera on the front is capable of shooting 720p video and a 5-megapixel camera is located at back for taking memorable photos, as well as providing heart rate feedback when needed.

The built-in heart rate sensor allows users to capture a more accurate picture of their fitness levels. Though the built-in speakers are only able to produce sound at a low volume, they are good enough to listen to music on while working out.

Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi and NFC, all of which work seamlessly with Samsung’s digital assistant Bixby. The Galaxy Watch4 Classic can be charged wirelessly through the magnetic charging pins located on the back and also boasts a battery life of up to 2 days when fully charged.

The Galaxy Watch4 Classic is compatible with iOS 9 or above and Android 4.4 or above, allowing users to download and run compatible apps from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store respectively.

Once set up, the device can be synced wirelessly with your smartphone in order to allow for calls, messages, email notifications and calendar events. Additionally, you can use the watch’s built-in GPS to track your workout routines or other activities such as going for a walk or biking.

Customer Review

This watch is good and has a nice body. But, it’s totally useless for work. It’s just for casual use. I tried to use it in my workplace, but my boss said that it isn’t safe to wear this on the desk while doing work as it needs to be charged all the time. Not good for office wear, you will need to charge it at least once every day unless its only 5% battery left.

Also, if you are using the S Health app with this watch the movement is not smooth and sometimes the app crashes due to low battery health or some other problem. So, this watch is just a good addition to your collection especially as it is also a watch and gets some style points.
