Every person who starts a new fitness routine is a rookie. These beginners are just starting to learn the ropes and discover what works for them. It’s important for all rookies to remember that you never need to start at the top in any field, even if it means you don’t know everything straight away. There are certain things you will want to do at the beginning of your fitness journey that you will NOT want to do later. Life fitness treadmill is made for you.

Here are the top ten reasons why you are a rookie in fitness.

1. You Don’t Have All The Right Equipment or Clothing

This is extremely common for most beginners. You know you want to get fit, but you have no clue what is best to use. There won’t be much use in purchasing expensive equipment if it isn’t the correct type for your goals, so this calls for some research on your part to make sure that you will get value for money on whatever piece of equipment you purchase. Remember, a few different types of exercise can replace any complex machine that is on the market today.

2. You Don’t Have A Plan

This is a rookie mistake that you should be sure to avoid. You need a plan of attack if you want to make fitness last over the long term. If you don’t have an overall goal and schedule set up, getting fit can be quite challenging. This is why it was important for you to come up with an exercise routine at the beginning of your fitness adventure. It will be impossible for you to continue with your fitness plan if you don’t have a plan of action in place.

3. You Are Not Eating Clean

You might not know this yet, but what you eat will determine how successful your fitness journey will be. You must stay committed and take control of what you put into your body. There are some people who think that the more calories they consume, the fitter they will be. This is wrong and it can work against you if you do not keep yourself in check. You want to make sure that all of your food intake is macronutrient balanced too, with a moderate amount of healthy fats and carbohydrates – 70% protein and 30% carbohydrates.

4. You Don’t Have A Nutrition Program

This is very important because what you put into your body will determine how well you exercise or perform during an event. Different types of exercises and events require different nutrition plans. We need to have a healthy diet for all types of exercises. When we are preparing for a long endurance event, we must have carbohydrates in our diet to fuel us; when we are training for weight lifting, we must eat protein and fat so that our bodies can build muscle mass.

5. You Don’t Have Motivation

Motivation is another thing that most fitness beginners lack. We have to have a reason for getting up every day and doing anything, especially the things we are going to do to make ourselves more healthy and fit. When you don’t have this lesson, you will feel tired and defeated all the time. This is why it is important for your first goal to be within your reach. If you are not able to get where you want to go on your own, then there will be no chance for success.

6. You Are Not Sure What You Want To Do

This is another key problem that many beginners have. You need to find out what your goals are and what you want to achieve in fitness first. This will have a huge impact on how anyone can get fit, regardless of the person’s age. Some people think they know what they want to do, but they just haven’t figured it out yet; others are already focused on a specific goal and don’t realize that it could be anything else for them at this point in time.

7. You Don’t Know How To Pick And Use A Workout Program

There are thousands of workout programs for you to choose from, but not all of them will be the right fit for you personally. We need to do a lot of research in order to find the right one for us; there is no way we could figure this out on our own without trying a few different workouts until something sticks. You should also know that it is okay to change your workout program from time to time, as long as you are keeping up with your schedule and you don’t miss your appointments or classes.

8. You Are Not Tracking Your Progress

This is a crucial step in your journey to make fitness last longer than just one season or month. You need to be able to measure your progress, otherwise you will never know whether you are making any headway on your fitness goals, or if you should start over and try something new.

9. You Don’t Listen To Your Body

This is something that many people overlook when they are trying to get fit. Your body is an amazing tool, but it can also be your downfall. The way you feel will determine what you do and how much you try. You will want to become aware of yourself, of your emotions and all of your senses, as well as their triggers to work towards a more positive future in fitness.

10. You Are Not Goal-Oriented

Every successful person that we know set out to achieve a specific goal – whether it was to get in shape, to lose weight and save money by not buying food in a supermarket anymore, or just to fit into something warm on a cold winter day. It doesn’t matter what your goal is as long as you are committed towards achieving it.
