So get involved and show off to some friends after finishing this quiz!

1. The Matrix Reloaded (2003)

A) Not only did Neo jump straight from the year 1999 to the year 2019 but he also stole the Matrix from a slum in Pakistan.

B) The film takes place in a futuristic reality where machines pose a threat to humans and use people to generate energy. It is not possible for machines to come from Pakistan or anywhere else in Asia, because Pakistan is not on any world map of 1999 or anywhere else since the movie takes place in 2019.

C) “The programmer who designed this matrix designed it so that if you plug it into an electrical outlet, it will charge your battery back up. No seriously, it’s actually kind of a cool trick.”

2. Point Break (1991)

A) The director of the movie was the person who invented surfing.

B) They cut the legs up so that it would look like Bodhi was surfing with his hands and not his feet. He would have been able to stand up but because they didn’t have time they used cardboard boxes instead. James Cameron also directed Titanic (1997). However even though he is credited with inventing surfing, there are still two different types of sport in the world today. One was invented before Cameron did, and one surfaced after he did.

C) “It was a very low budget movie, with the script being written by the two surfers that played the characters, and built with local sponsors like Quicksilver. It gave them their start in films.”

3. The Empire Strikes Back (1980)

A) When Darth Vader first lights up his jetpack Luke asks him if he was born in his suit. He tells him he was born in it and then proceeds to show him that the inside of his chest is actually the glove compartment of a car.

No one had ever seen an imperial on wheels before this time and therefore they would have been unable to recognise it.

B) The Stormtroopers have been on the planet Earth for far longer than they were ever supposed to be. They have always been with the Empire, and yet no one knew that they were on the planet.

Those who were there when they arrived had no idea why they were around or what their purpose was, but it’s a good thing for them that no one did know, otherwise Darth Vader wouldn’t have been able to get what he wanted from this planet.

C) “The creature in the ice cave was completely computer generated; it was all an L.A. design.”

4. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984)

A) When Indy takes the crystal skull out of his pack and puts it on the floor it begins to shine. No one can put a crystal skull in their backpack unless they really want to get shot.

B) Indiana Jones carried his whip around, but it was a baseball bat all along. He even said that he had a bat with him just in case he needed to use it. He had a baseball glove but he didn’t need to use that either because the bat was much more damaging than any weapon could have been.

C) “The scene where they feed the man to the rats was actually done with real rats. Of course they were specially trained, but there were still a few bites. In fact Dennis has a scar on his face which he got from one of them.”

5. The Exorcist (1973)

A) If you look at Regan’s chocolate bar, you will find that it was made in Ecuador by a company called ‘Griswold and Son’. Companies have been known to change their names but this is taking things a bit too far.

B) The director of the movie is a priest. He used his experience from the church to help him through the movie, not just on set but also in terms of directing. He was well-known for giving people some advice before shooting began, and helped them in overcoming bad habits such as swearing or drinking too much; this was probably why he wasn’t allowed to play golf anymore.

C) “The shot which shows Regan going down the stairs backwards was an idea that they came up with while they were brainstorming. It’s quite a famous shot now because people used it in other horror films.”
