All About – Audi RS Qq88 Review

Audi’s RS Q8 is known for being the current fastest SUV around the Nurburgring circuit in Germany and shares its engine with Lamborghini’s Urus. Also, it is based on the underpinnings of the Urus. The RS Q8 is also the brand’s flagship, high-performance variant of the Audi Q8.

Swoops and curves

That coupe-like roofline looks absolutely gorgeous on an SUV like the Q8, and it is easily one among the hottest looking in the SUV-coupe segment. It boasts of huge intakes, massive wheel arches and the typical RS signature oval exhausts. The huge 23-inch wheels look stunning and there are lots of black elements on the body that give it a distinctive look. You can also opt for smaller, 21 and 22-inch wheels.

Luxury liner

The cabin is very similar to that of the Q8’s. The dashboard layout and the gloss black panel on the dashboard look very classy, and the amount of room in the cabin too, is the same as in the Audi cars. However, some RS elements and materials are more than apparent in the cabin and we love the sporty, flat-bottom steering that is wrapped in perforated leather. It features a virtual cockpit along with an optional heads-up display. Bang in the middle of the dashboard lies a dual-touchscreen layout with an infotainment screen above and one below for the AC and vehicle settings. The sports seats are comfortable and offer great support and are upholstered in quilted leather. It features electric adjustment for the seat along with side bolstering that can be adjusted as well. And then you get ventilated and massage seat options. Equipment includes Matrix LED headlights, a panoramic sunroof and a host of other tech.

Power play

The 4.0-litre twin-turbo engine that it is powered by, makes 592bhp and 800Nm of torque, while it sprints from 0 to 100 in just 3.8 seconds. Performance is breath-taking and acceleration is sports car like. The moment you floor the throttle, it simply takes off like a missile. The engine has so much potential, it can scare some supercars too. It’s really quick in a straight line and corners confidently, and surprisingly, there is no body roll whatsoever. It loves being driven hard and stays glued to the tarmac at all times. The ride is pliant when it need it to be and, in RS2 mode, comfort mode works well. For an RS variant, it tackles pot holes well, but you’ll have keep in the low profile tyres.

Final word

At ₹ 2.07 crore, you get an astonishing SUV that’s hugely capable, fast and desirable. It’s also luxurious and quite practical to be used every day. It’s a ravishing blend of performance and luxury, and being the fastest SUV around, I think that’s good enough a reason for someone to splurge on one.
